While we don't have a turkey in our library of animal scans, we do have a distant cousin of the turkey-- the parrot. Think of him as the loud uncle who crashes the Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Table team! We hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.

Can you identify all the bones to their human counterpart in these photos?

You knee to see this. This week, we're showing the gorilla's knee.

Much like our knee, can you identify the femur, tibula, fibula and patella?

"Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes."

Unlike the hand and the knee we covered over the past two weeks, the gorilla's feet are much more different than ours. So for the whole enchilada, identify the similarities AND the differences! Some are very obvious, while others will take some time.

Black tie is usually optional as we usher in 2016, but our penguin friend is always dressed to the nines, even on an average day.

Happy New Year to our Anatomage Table Community!

What's the difference between a turtle and a tortoise?

A turtle lives in water so their bodies are shaped to efficiently glide through water.

Tortoises live on land so they have legs for walking, as opposed to turtles who have fins for swimming.

What are some other differences you can tell us about?
